Common Areas of Focus

Counselling with me is casual but focused, supportive but honest, and fun but meaningful. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solutions Focused Strengths-based work — but ultimately, the process is guided by you.

You don’t need to have the right words, a clear direction, a filter, or a perfect version of yourself when we meet. Just come as you are — I’ll meet you there, and we’ll connect and journey from there.

What to Expect

Standard sessions are ideal for clients engaging in regular therapy over time. Whether you’re working through a specific challenge or seeking ongoing support, these sessions offer a steady, focused space to explore, reflect, and grow. Sessions typically run for 50 to 60 minutes, depending on what arises and how the conversation flows.

Extended sessions are ideal for clients navigating a particularly challenging period or those in need of deeper reflection and connection. They may also serve as a helpful ‘tune-up’ after time away from therapy. I ask all new clients to begin with a single extended session. This gives us space to get to know each other, explore what’s brought you here, and set a comfortable pace when first connecting. Sessions typically last between 80 and 90 minutes depending on flow, emotional energy, and your unique needs.

Walk and Talk Therapy is a grounding, movement-based alternative to traditional sessions — perfect for those who feel more at ease in nature or prefer side-by-side conversation. These sessions are held outdoors and involve light walking while we talk, creating space for reflection, connection, and mind-body awareness. Sessions last between 50 and 60 minutes depending on pace, terrain, and conversation flow.

Please note: Walk and Talk Therapy is currently available in the Brisbane area only, is weather dependent, and requires suitable attire. Pricing may vary depending on location and travel needs.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Taking that first step into the unknown is often the hardest — but it can also be one of the most powerful and rewarding things you’ll ever do.

If you’re feeling curious, stuck, or simply ready to talk things through, I invite you to book a free 15-minute intro call through my contact and enquiries form. It’s a chance to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and see if we’re a good fit — no pressure, expectations, or obligations.
